Sakshi celebrated the International Literacy Day on September 8th 2008 in New Delhi in Andrews Ganj School where a library centre was established. Each year this world event is organized by the UNESCO to remind the international community of the status of literacy and adult learning globally.

I am happy to know that SAKSHI Organization is engaged in care and rehabillitation of under priviledged street children in slums of the national Capital for last 13 years with projects like "Pahla-Kadam", "Parivartan" etc. and is bringing out a souvenir on International Literacy Day.
My felicitations to the Sakshi team for noble their endeavours in the service of deprives children.
Recognitions
Since 2006, Sakshi has been recognized by the MCD Education Department (Government of Delhi) as an executive member of Grievance Cell. In this committee, Sakshi works to identify problems in Government School.
Sakshi was recognized as an internship agency to place each year two students of Master of Social Work (MSW) and two students of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. They interns two days a week during one year in our centres as teachers.
Sakshi also places each year 20 students of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), New Delhi. The concerned students commit themselves during 25 days in Sakshi centres in January.
